Registrar Program in Cosmetic Medicine

The Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine Registrar Training Program provides twelve months of supervised, advanced training in Cosmetic Medicine. It comprises the following :

  • Online monthly tutorials
  • Annual written clinical examination (to be held around the time of the annual College Conference)
  • Viva examination following successful completion of written examination and clinical experience
  • 100 logbook cases
  • 2 referees
  • 12 months of 4 hour, weekly rotations supervised clinical experience provided by the Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine **
  • 2 years full-time unsupervised experience (or equivalent)

** The rotations consists of a 3 clinical attachments, minimum of 6 months (where possible) in three separate clinical practices.

Registrars are responsible for running the Journal Club which is part of the College CME program.

Fees AUD $16,500 (inc GST and non refundable) payable on acceptance to the program.

Successful applicants must be existing member of the Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine. 

The trainee must have attained either FRACGP or VR status an AMC recognised college recognised by the Australian Medical Council. Doctors with significant experience and contribution to the area of Aesthetic Medicine may be considered by College Board.

The Registrar program is the extension of the existing Diploma program with the addition of 12 months of supervised clinical tuition comprising 4 hours a week. For more details about the Diploma Program, please click here.
